1. Be Aware of Your Options
What are your options? By that, we mean, what business models should you choose!
Business model is a formal term, after all, Fiona’s an ex-Accountant, but it simply means selecting one, and only one, of the following money making methods:
- affiliate marketing;
- network marketing;
- direct sales; or
- making and selling your own information products.
So, which one is ‘the best’?
To be fair, they all are! We know that’s a frustrating answer, but, they’re all tried and tested business models so any of them will make money for you. The pivotal thing to know for any one method to work for you, however, is learning how to market correctly and getting your foundations sorted from the outset.
If you’re just starting out now, and want to get fast results, we highly recommend affiliate marketing. It’s what we tell our students to do as it’s the quickest way for a newcomer to start building momentum and creating sales. By far the biggest benefit is that you don’t need to concern yourself with product creation, sales page creation, merchant accounts, product delivery, cold calling, customer support or selling to your family and friends.
The thing is, once you’ve chosen which strategy suits you best – you must stick with it, then stick with it even more, until it makes money for you! Only then, can you be flexible, and start to try one other business model. This is something you’ll learn as a member of Six Figure Mentors.
2. Copy One Blueprint
There’s information overload on the internet – it’s not called the information super-highway for nothing! The choice in business models is a drop in the ocean when you consider the choice in the number of people offering online training courses. So, how do you know who to trust? And who will teach you a method that still works today?
Again, we tell our students to stick with one course only. How do we know that – from hard learned experience! We tried many different courses and thought that we were smart and could ‘cherry pick’ the best tips from them all, but . . . all that happened is we got bogged down information and just confused ourselves, and got very frustrated. And we got nowhere fast.

3. Take Fearless Action
Work out what your most expensive words are i.e.: the excuses that you make to yourself for not doing or trying something, then just take heed of Nike’s famous saying and “Just Do It” anyway.

So, don’t think of it as one big project, but instead break it down into manageable chunks. For instance, instead of thinking about getting your website built and getting it live online, just focus first only on buying for domain name. The rest of the process will naturally follow.
Also, be aware that it’s absolutely OK to make mistakes . . . as long as you learn from them!

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
So making mistakes is one of the keys to entrepreneurship.
One of the key reasons most people fail online is because they don’t:
They spot another bright shiny object that promises them overnight riches, so they start chasing that.
For example, they might set up a blog, make a dozen posts and write a dozen articles to promote the blog. But nothing happens straight away, so they give up, and decide to drop the blog and try Forex trading instead.
You see, any entrepreneurial way of making money, whether it be online, or offline, requires practice and training. Which takes time!
So you simply need to commit to stick with ONE thing until you see results. Until you make money from it.
So if you decide to become an affiliate marketer, then you’ve got to follow your training exactly, and stick with it until you see results. No matter how alluring other models or new products on the market are to you, just keep your eye on your original goal.
To make this easier, try setting mini milestones for yourself, such as completing a module or finishing some content for a webpage.

The key to starting a successful business is choosing one business model, choosing one training blueprint, taking fearless action and staying focused.
